Bitcoin, Ethereum, Dogecoin Win Today. Check the latest crypto rates

The cryptocurrency market was trading mixed on Friday. Disappointing numbers from Meta, formerly known as Facebook, and a sell-off in tech stocks like Amazon and Snap added to the pressure. Bitcoin is trading above $37,000. The world’s largest and most popular digital token rose more than 1.43 percent to 37,579.31, but is down 19 percent so far in 2022 (year-to-date or YTD). Meanwhile, the global cryptocurrency market cap increased more than 1 percent to $1.8 trillion today. Bitcoin, the largest cryptocurrency, has lost a fifth of its value this year, while some smaller coins, as well as tokens influenced by social media sentiment, have seen even bigger declines.

Similarly, Ether, the coin linked to the ethereum blockchain and the second largest cryptocurrency, rose marginally to $2,761.85, according to coinmarketcap.com. On the other hand, Binance Coin was also up more than one percent at $371. The price of Dogecoin soared to $0.13 while Shiba Inu was trading at $0.000021. The performance of other cryptos also improved as the prices of XRP, Stellar, Avalanche, Cardano, Solana, Polygon, Terra traded profitably in the past 24 hours.

The global crypto market capitalization has soared in the past 24 hours. Bitcoin and Ethereum have regained their winning streak after a dip on Thursday, said Edul Patel, CEO and co-founder of Mudrex. “Buyers are constantly losing ground to sellers, while spot trading volume has declined and has been a trend in crypto since January. Most altcoins are spinning in the green and showing some improvement from the previous day,” he added.
